Exercise is such an important part of wellbeing. There are many experts who can help you find the approach that works best for you. Here are a few of the local groups I've had the pleasure to work with:
Fit Body Balance at www.fitbodybalance.com (Santa Rosa, California)
A variety of classes, workouts and training available. They offer a wide range of options, from yoga, Pilates and Nia to specialized approaches like Integrated Fitness, Core Conditioning and Boot camp. Owner Kate Titus balances physical fitness with the mind-body realms. I'm working with them to offer some nutrition classes.
Healdsburg Pilates at www.healdsburgpilates.com (Healdsburg, California)
Owner Peter Sheridan offers a wide range of classes including Pilates, spinning and cardio circuit. Peter offers personal training and specializes in rehabilitation. Working with him can make a big difference in getting back to full function after an injury.

Deborah Karish not only teaches yoga, but is also a Chiropractor. She knows how the body works, and you get the bennefit of that knowledge in her classes. She builds strength and flexibility gradually, so by time you are trying out the positions (called asanas) you are ready. Her classes are excellent for beginners, older people and people who have not been active recently. She really gets you in touch with your body.
